Enter to Win a Custom Guitar
Described as “the love child of a 335 and Les Paul” and named Mean Green Jr by luthier, Jon Beason at Wood Spirit Guitars. This beautiful custom built guitar was a gift from Wood Spirit Guitars to the BluesEd program. The guitar is a semi-hollow body constructed with a 3 ply maple body and mahogany neck. Other specifications include locking tuners, TUSQ nuts, Rosewood fretboard with 12” radius, medium/jumbo stainless steel frets, wraparound bridge and Blizzard of 59’ Humbuckers.
Jon Beason watched a BluesEd band perform at the August 2022 Playing With Fire Concert in Omaha. Impressed by the young talent embracing the blues, Jon was inspired to build Mean Green Jr and give it to the BluesEd program in Omaha, NE. The producers of Playing with Fire helped Jon connect with BluesEd directors to gift this breathtaking guitar to the program. When the instrument was shown to guitar players in the BluesEd it literally took their breath away!
The BluesEd program will host a raffle for the guitar to raise money for the program. The contest will be held from June 13, 2024 to August 3, 2024. A random drawing will be held on Sunday, August 4th 2024. The public can purchase raffle tickets at select BluesEd gigs, BSO events, Playing with Fire (July 11-13) and In the Market for Blues (August 3rd). Raffle tickets are 1 ticket for $5 or 5 tickets for $20.
