We thought you would want to hear from several of our student musicians themselves on how being involved in the BluesEd program has impacted their lives. When you give to BluesEd during Omaha Gives on May 23, you will continue to impact young people's lives AND support the arts. Keep the Blues Alive! "BluesEd has been the best experience in my lifetime in terms of performance opportunities, growth of musical abilities, participation in the Memphis Youth Showcase last January and the development of phenomenal friendships." - Hunter Neumayer - Guitar & Saxophone for The Redwoods "Through BluesEd, I learn from professional musicians, perform around Omaha all summer and get opportunities, like this past January at B.B. King's Blues Club Memphis for the International Blues Challenge Youth Showcase with the “select” BluesEd “402” band." - Jeana Abboud - Vocals for five minute drive “BluesEd has helped mold me into the person I am today; singer, songwriter, performer. It made me fall in love with music and performing in front of audiences. I also get to play with amazing musicians in my band, who have become my lifelong best friends. BluesEd has opened so many windows for me, like going to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis with my band in 2017, was honored by helping the Blues Society of Omaha accept the "Keeping the Blues Alive" Award for the BluesEd program in Memphis this past 2018 where I got to speak in front of the International Blues Community, opening for the Playing With Fire concert series, and meeting and learning from some pretty outstanding artists from all over the world. Thanks for donating to our program, as BluesEd helps shape young musicians to have an appreciation for the blues and inspires the next generation of blues musicians. Let's keep the Blues ALIVE!” - Grace Giebler - Vocals for Us and Them Blues Band
