MANNIX
In its second year as Lincoln’s premier BluesEd band, MANNIX welcomes accomplished and versatile vocalist Maia Ramsay who renders fresh takes on classics from BB King, Howlin’ Wolf, Big Joe Turner and Blind Willie McTell. Ms. Ramsay delivers equally on modern blues-roots of JJ Cale, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Tracy Chapman. Drummer Ry Steffen drives the rhythm section with precision and nuance, and skilled multi-instrumentalists Seth Andre and Will Gades swap leads on guitar, lap steel, slide and bass.
Appearing this season at ZooFest, the Zoo Bar, Chrome Lounge and other venues, MANNIX was featured last year opening for the Tim Budig Band at KZUM’s Stransky Park Series. MANNIX intends to bring back the blues by injecting fresh blood into Lincoln’s vibrant music scene.
